Ecstasy

Ecstacy, an extremely common drug that has enjoyed tremendous popularity with kids and adults. Since it is manufactured in many different ways, the actual appearance may differ. It is most commonly found in tablet form, and may be known as MDMA (methylenedioxy-methamphetamine), Adam, clarity, ecstasy, Eve, lover's speed, peace, STP, X or XTC. The tablets are usually bright colored, and may feature stamped logos or the name of the drug.

Common symptoms experienced by those who take ecstasy include memory loss and a lack of memory retention. During the course of the drug, they may experience increased tactile sensitivity, a feeling of love and affection towards everyone or they may have mild hallucinations. One of the more serious side effects of ecstasy is overheating, although liver and renal failure may occur if a dose is particularly high.

Clinical Symptoms are dilation of pupils, increased heart rate, blood pressure increase, nystagmus, dehydration, and loss of appetite. Long term side effects may include depression or even a loss of short term memory.
